Having high speed top and bottom trenching spindles revolving precision bearings, the spindle being located in line, an automatic setting out template which eliminates marking out. The spindles are driven through a flexible belt from a 5hp motor, push button contactor starter with overload protection, suitable for operation on 380/415/50. Pneumatic cramping with two top cramps and two horizontal cramps for the side pressure. The pitch movement has pneumatic stroke with double action piston on in-feed and out-feed end of machine, with adjustment for different thicknesses of timber. Pneumatic plunging movement to top and bottom heads with quick adjusting jig to suit open and wedged type treads. Control panel with clearly marked controls.
